What is self-compassion?

Published 14.08.2023 - Family Federation of Finland
Self-compassion is a skill that we all need, so it’s worth learning. Self-compassion relates to how we feel towards ourselves when we make mistakes or fail. At such times, we can treat ourselves in the same way as a good friend would treat us. Everyone makes mistakes, and everyone encounters setbacks. Self-compassion helps us to move forward. Notice your own struggle and kindly comfort yourself.
