Privacy Statement | Lectures

Lecture material from the lectures is stored in the service, and during the lecture also the chat discussion if one has been arranged in connection with the lecture. The chat log data is deleted from the online service database once a day.  To protect your privacy, use a nickname that does not identify you and avoid providing information that could infer your identity.

If the registration for the lecture has been done in the Hyvä kysymys service with our form function, the registration may also be stored in the service. You can get more information about this from the lecture organizer.

Lectures use Youtube to show videos. We do not use YouTube’s privacy mode, so in order to see videos you must accept marketing cookies. After you accept the marketing cookies, YouTube will set a cookie on your device that will allow YouTube to use information related to searching and watching videos for its own use. For example, if you are signed in to YouTube, YouTube gets information about visits to our site and the videos embedded in them, and can update your profile there accordingly. We do not receive any data about visitors for our use from YouTube. YouTube is a service owned by Google, so its data privacy concerns are set out in Google’s own privacy statement.
